License Agreement
Version 1.0 · Last updated: 2026-05-04
This License Agreement ("License") governs your use of MedQueri.ai (the "Service") and supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By creating an account, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms below.
1. Tool Nature
MedQueri.ai is a research-assistance tool. It uses third-party artificial intelligence models (including Anthropic Claude) to assist with literature search, abstract and full-text screening, PDF data extraction, and statistical meta-analysis for systematic reviews. The Service is not a substitute for professional clinical, legal, financial, or methodological judgment.
2. User Responsibility to Verify
You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness of every output produced by the Service before using it in any publication, decision, or downstream artifact. This responsibility includes, without limitation:
- Bibliographic data, study identifiers, citations, DOIs, and other reference metadata
- All numerical data, statistics, effect estimates, confidence intervals, p-values, and other quantitative outputs
- Search strategies, returned article lists, and the comprehensiveness of literature retrieval
- AI-extracted variables, study characteristics, and risk-of-bias assessments
- The Methods section of any review, including search strategy, screening flow, eligibility criteria, and statistical methods
- The Results section of any review, including data tables, forest plots, heterogeneity statistics, GRADE assessments, and summary-of-findings tables
- Any other content generated, suggested, or aggregated by the Service
3. Search Comprehensiveness
The Service may fail to retrieve some relevant articles, studies, or evidence. Search results depend on third-party APIs (PubMed, Cochrane, Europe PMC, Semantic Scholar, OpenAlex, and others), the search strategy you construct, and AI model behavior. You acknowledge that the Service is not guaranteed to identify all eligible studies for any review. You remain responsible for designing comprehensive search strategies and supplementing automated retrieval with manual searching as required by your methodology.
4. AI Output Limitations
AI models can produce inaccurate, outdated, or fabricated information, including hallucinated citations, misread numbers from PDFs, incorrect statistical interpretations, and methodologically inappropriate suggestions. The User must independently verify every AI-generated output against primary sources before relying on it for any purpose.
5. No Warranty
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MEDQUERI.AI AND ITS OPERATORS, OFFICERS, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM:
- Your use of the Service or its output
- Errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in AI-generated content
- Missed studies, incomplete search results, or methodological gaps
- Decisions you or third parties make based on Service output
- Publications, manuscripts, or research artifacts you produce using the Service
- Any clinical, regulatory, or other downstream use of Service output
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS CAPPED AT THE GREATER OF (a) THE FEES YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (b) US$100.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MedQueri.ai and its operators, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) any publication or research artifact you produce that incorporates Service output; or (c) your violation of this License or any applicable law.
8. Acceptance Record
